Colwyn Bay secured a 2-0 home win over Cambrian & Clydach to maintain their push for a top-half finish in the Cymru Premier. Goals from J. Williams and C. Bratley either side of half-time delivered the three points on Friday, October 30.

The victory lifts Colwyn Bay to 26 points from 14 games, keeping them in fifth place. They now sit 14 points behind leaders The New Saints but have won three of their last five league matches, a run that includes a 2-2 draw with Cardiff MET last week.

Williams opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour, giving the hosts an early lead they would not relinquish. Cambrian & Clydach's K. Absalom and A. Evans were both cautioned in the first half as the visitors struggled to contain the home side's momentum.

Bratley doubled the advantage 12 minutes into the second half, effectively sealing the result. A flurry of substitutions followed in the final twenty minutes as both managers reshaped their sides, but the clean sheet remained intact.

This result extends Colwyn Bay's positive recent form to two wins, two draws and one loss from their last five outings. They have scored 24 goals this season while conceding 17, giving them a solid goal difference of plus seven.

Attention now turns to a trip to face Trefelin on Friday, November 6. Trefelin currently occupy 15th place in the standings, and Colwyn Bay will be confident after beating them 2-0 in their last meeting at the end of July. The squad's current form and upcoming fixtures offer a clear path to consolidate their position in the upper half of the table.
