Colwyn Bay Football Club paid tribute to former chairman Henry Chapman after his death. Chapman, who joined the club’s committee in the early 1990s and later served as chairman until November 2003, passed away.

Tribute and Apology

The club said it was “saddened” to learn of Mr Chapman’s death and sent its best wishes to his family and friends. A club statement read: “Ahead of the 2000-01 season, Henry took over as chairman at what was a difficult time and ensured the club’s survival. Henry, who played for Old Colwyn in his younger days, stepped down as chairman in November 2003. The club extend their deepest sympathy to Henry’s family and friends.”

Upcoming Minute of Silence

A minute’s applause to remember Mr Chapman will take place prior to Colwyn Bay’s JD Cymru Premier game against Airbus UK Broughton on Friday evening (August 20).
