Colwyn Bay have signed Josh Williams on a six-month loan from Tranmere Rovers. The 22-year-old played a starring role in Connah’s Quay Nomads' Welsh Cup success in the 2023/24 season and returns to the Cymru Premier to continue his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Williams made 69 appearances for the Nomads, scoring six goals and providing 10 assists, before moving to Tranmere. He has since made six first-team appearances for the League Two club, scoring twice, and also spent time on loan at Southport.
His return to the Cymru Premier with Colwyn Bay will provide an opportunity to regain match fitness while adding a player with proven Cymru Premier experience to their squad. Williams is expected to feature for the team as they look to build on their recent successes.
