Jamie El-Kaleh, chairman of North Wales Crusaders, confirmed the club has secured a landmark deal to make Electric Brewery Field in Bridgend their permanent home. The agreement, pending Rugby Football League (RFL) licence approval, marks the first dedicated home ground in the club’s 130-year history. El-Kaleh emphasized the move’s long-term benefits, stating, 'Is there a massive upside potential? I think there is and I’m excited as to how it can develop.'
The 2027 season will introduce a hybrid model, with select league games in South Wales to expand the club’s reach while maintaining Colwyn Bay as the core base. Crusaders’ final 2026 home match at Stadiwm Eirias on Sunday will feature a community-focused event, including free tickets, a masters festival, wheelchair rugby league, live music, and end-of-season awards. Kick-off is set for 3pm.
London Broncos’ perfect season hopes ended with a 34-24 loss to Oldham, while other Championship fixtures include Barrow v Whitehaven and Dewsbury v Batley. The Crusaders’ final home game will be their last at Colwyn Bay before the 2027 season.
